alpePrivacy Policy

This policy explains what Alpen collects, what it doesn't, and what happens to the information it does hold. Alpen is operated by VegaHouse LLC ("we", "us").
Your photos and videos never leave your device. Every edit — presets, adjustments, effects, overlays, crops, templates — is processed locally on your iPhone. We operate no image servers, we never upload your photos, and we cannot see them.
Information we collect
If you create an account
Alpen uses Sign in with Apple. You can edit and export photos without an account; we ask you to sign in only when you save work or export. If you do sign in, we store:
- An account identifier provided by Apple
- Your email address, which may be an Apple private relay address if you chose "Hide My Email" — in that case we never see your real address
- A display name, training niche, and Instagram handle, if you choose to provide them. All optional.
This is held in our database, provided by Supabase. We use it to keep your profile and subscription consistent across your devices.
If you subscribe
Subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store. We never see or handle your payment details. We use RevenueCat to tell us whether a subscription is active; RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous customer identifier and purchase information from Apple.
Your photo library
Alpen asks for permission to add photos and videos to your library so it can save your exports. When you choose a photo to edit, iOS hands Alpen only that image — the app does not browse or index your library.
What we do not collect
- No analytics or tracking SDKs. Alpen contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or attribution software.
- No advertising, and no data sold or shared with data brokers. Ever.
- No location data.
- No contacts, calendar, microphone, or health data.
- No copies of your photos. See above.
Drafts and projects
Unfinished edits are saved on your device so you don't lose work. They are stored in Alpen's private storage on your iPhone and are removed automatically after a short period, or immediately when you delete them. They are not uploaded.
Service providers
We share the limited data above with:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- RevenueCat — subscription status management
- Apple — sign-in and payment processing
Each processes data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Profile information is kept while your account exists. Delete your account and we delete the associated profile record. On-device drafts are removed when they expire or when you delete them, and everything Alpen stores locally is removed if you delete the app.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@getalpen.app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
Children
Alpen is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
